About Cruising Hacks

I was in my late twenties when I went on my first cruise. It was with my wife and first born daughter on a cruise from New York City to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Carnival Cruise NYC to Halifax

It was a Carnival cruise and we had a small, interior stateroom with little foot room to begin with and then we added a crib.

And it was awesome.

Despite crowded quarters, an infant, and some less than perfect weather I had a great time.

I was hooked and have since sailed out of New York City a half dozen or so times, several more through Miami, and a whole lot more from Galveston.

Along the way, I have come across lots of tips and best practices to make the most out of your cruise vacation, and I will share them here.

So far, I’ve sailed on Carnival Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean International – I plan to try others in the near future.

As I write this I am planning my next cruise and I can’t wait.
