You are going to want extra outlets in your stateroom during the cruise for iPhones, toothbrushes, Kindles, hairdryers, curling irons, and all sorts of other things.
But many cruises have a limited number of outlets, so that is an issue when you’ve got multiple people in a small space.
Also, while you can use a power strip on a cruise ship, they do not allow surge protectors.
On my last cruise, I got a power strip that was a few inches wide that you plug directly into the outlet. But the problem was that the cruise cabin power strip I’d gotten couldn’t fit in the space where there was a plug.
That sucked.
So we had to battle over the two outlets anyway and there were wars for plugs the whole cruise.
For my latest cruise, I’ve got that issue solved. I got a power strip that is cruise approved with no surge protector and the plug is on a cord, so it can fit in small places.
This power strip has 3 power outlets and 2 USB ports, plus it leaves the other outlet in the room available to plug in.
Access to electricity for all and peace has been restored.
