If you love beer and you are stopping in Cozumel during a cruise through the Western Caribbean, be sure to stop at La Internacional Cervecería.
I love trying new beers when I travel because I enjoy them, and also to add to my Untappd account.
When I was planning my September 2018 cruise on the Carnival Valor, I asked around about the best place to go in Cozumel for local beers and heard about La Internacional Cervecería.
I didn’t want to get a Corona at Señor Frog’s – I wanted the stuff I wouldn’t be able to find in the states. So this was perfect.
La Internacional Cervecería was about a $10 cab from the port and they had a really nice selection of Mexican IPA’s, which were my main target to try. I think they had something like 300+ beers to choose from between the bottles and taps.
After enjoying a variety of beers, I decided to finish up with a Michelada. I didn’t see any sense in wasting a good beer in there, so I got a Dos Equis for it. I found it funny that they called it two x’s there.
The manager, Jose Juan Cervantes, was super helpful and friendly in recommending beers. Friend him on Facebook if you are headed there.
