Most cruise lines will provide you with self-printed luggage tags to fasten to your luggage. Guess what… when you tape or staple paper together as a luggage tag you have a good chance of that luggage tag falling off.
A few cruises ago my self-printed luggage tag fell off after I handed over my luggage. That was an aggravating mess trying to track down my luggage and it didn’t turn up until around 10 PM the day we embarked.
Soon after I came across luggage tag holders that solve the problem of destroyed paper luggage tags.
You just print out the luggage tags as you would do anyway and then insert them in these thick PVC plastic holders that have a zip top seal (great if it’s raining as you board), and a braided metal loop to fasten firmly to your luggage.
These luggage tag holders are 7.25 x 3.5 inches and it’s a quick and easy process to print out the luggage tags, insert them in the holders, and attach the holders to your luggage.
Such a simple, cheap solution that will give you peace of mind with your luggage.
